When asked for a one word association of "summertime" some of our suppliers, associates and customers (you know who you are) gave us the following answers ... graduation, vacation, baseball, bikini, Bob Seger, swimming, BEER, fireworks, boating, golf, the lake (two words but I let it go), sunshine ?????, cook-out, racing!
You will be shocked to know that only three said "price increase" but unfortunately they were representatives of Crescent, Truvue and every company that we buy from that has "Moulding" in there name. Phrases come to mind such as "increase costs of raw material", "ongoing costs of conducting business" or "high cost of petroleum" and "the devaluation of the dollar in the world marketplace"... blah, blah, blah. Believe me, price increases are a pain but we operate in a "trickle down" economy. However, we are doing everything we can to minimize your pain and keep us healthy in a very competitive business. We will be working on new price books for a mid-summer mailing.
The good news for you is that this is yet another opportunity to look closer at PFI. As many of you know we have been extremely busy. Here's a quick review:
- In February there was a very well received introduction of 154 new mouldings to our line. Our reps tell me that they have pretty much covered their territories but if you want a second look or feel you were missed just give us a call.
- With the support of two key suppliers we have had fantastic promotions on foamboard and glass. Regarding foamboard, we made one last purchase to beat the price increase and you should do the same while supplies last. As for glass, ask our customer service reps about the TruVue Frequent Buyer Card. Save 10%.
- Plus, we had a great Spring Fling party. It was our great pleasure to have you visit us, meet our staff and enjoy a great evening on The Boulevard. For those of you that missed it, don't despair, we are already looking at dates in late April 2006.

- Look for another wave of new mouldings arriving soon. Details to follow.
- The finishing touches are being put on our new website. We are investing in your future to make looking at our mouldings and communicating with you easier.
- The International White "Classics" series from Crescent is now in-stock.
- 36" Black Kraft Paper is on order - give it a try - it adds a touch of sophistication to your framing efforts.
In closing let me add this final word of appreciation from Chris and everyone at PFI for your support. We are all working hard to give you the service and products you want, expect and deserve. Your comments are always welcomed and do not hesitate to pick up the phone and call.
