News from the Boulevard...

Last month’s “News from the boulevard” informed everyone that we are addressing some of our policies as we plan for 2012. This “News” is primarily focused on two issues: UPS orders and account receivable limits. For most of our customers it is “business as usual,” and you will not notice any change at all. For some, the change in our length moulding program might encourage the purchase of our chop service due to our “guarantee” on chops and our low cost / no cost shipping program. The topic of credit limits and past due accounts is nothing more than our adjusting to the changing times and establishing the appropriate measures that every business has to take to insure their future.

UPS / Freight Orders

• Chop and /or Joined order shipping charges
  • No changes in the current UPS shipping program as it relates to chop orders.
    • Orders over $75.00 are shipped UPS ground free of charge.
    • Orders of $25.00 - $74.99 will be shipped for $5.00.
    • Orders less than $25.00 will be shipped with a full UPS charge plus a $5.00 minimum order fee.
  • The largest assembled frame we can package for shipment is 30x40 outside dimension.
  • A $10.00 packing charge on all joined frame orders.
  • All other UPS service charges will be the customer’s responsibility, i.e., oversize, residential delivery, COD and expedited delivery.
• Length order shipping charges
  • Length order shipping charges will be paid in full by the customer.
  • On length orders cut for UPS Ground shipment there will be a $5.00 cutting charge.
  • All other UPS service charges will be the customer’s responsibility, i.e., oversize, residential delivery, COD and expedited delivery.
    • UPS considers any package over 60” in length oversize and charges an additional $8.00. To avoid oversize charges, we suggest no length over 57 inches to allow for adequate packing.

Credit Line Establishment

Beginning January 1, we will establish a credit line on all accounts. The credit line is based on 25% of your 2010 purchases from PFI / Williamson. Example: 2010 purchases equal $7,500.00; credit line would be $1,875.00. $20,000.00 purchases receive a $5,000.00 credit line. Accounts with purchases less than $2,000.00 will receive a $500.00 credit line.

Account Credit Line Policy

Effective January 1, any account with balances older than 60 days and / or exceeding their respective credit line will be placed on COD. Accounts with a balance in the 90+ Days category will be placed on hold and no orders will be released.

While never wanting to interrupt service and possibly disappointing or frustrating your customers, we ask for your cooperation in assisting us in clearing up past due accounts.
