CRESCENT DISCONTIUED MATBOARD LIST

Earlier this month Crescent announced their plan to discontinue a number of matboards from their various product lines ... don't panic! I have been assured that they have considerable inventory. PFI's plan is to continue to order all these matboards as our inventory warrants. Our order cycle is approximately every three to four weeks. When we order and Crescent indicates an out as "Gone", we then mark the item as "Gone" in our system. Why so many discontinued items ... mainly, it's slow sellers or that they lost their paper supplier. If it really sold, they wouldn't be discontinuing it.

Side note ... obviously our industry is experiencing some pretty dramatic changes and challenges. Our overseas moudling manufactures are dealing with the same Covid issues that we are in the states. Container ship tranportation is SLOW, adding weeks in many cases to the "normal" delivery cycle which is about 4 months. The trucking industry has a shortage of drivers, causing longer than expected lead times for freight delivery. Elmers/Enocre foamboard was purchased by 3A Composites, Crescent just annouced their purchase of Nielsen/Bainbridge/Nurre Caxton ... very exciting. However, all of things things will take time to sort out. We know this all too well from our experience in purchasing, first, The Williamson Co and more recently the purchase of New West.  Stay patient, stay calm ... our customer service team is here to support you and keep you as informed as we can. If we don't have an answer we will work to get you one.
